PERFORMANCE TRAINING

Elevate your physical capabilities with our Performance Training and Wellness Programs at Poulsbo Physical Therapy. Whether you are an athlete striving for peak performance or an individual looking to enhance your overall fitness, our programs are designed to optimize your performance goals.

Performance Training:

  • Initial Assessment and Baseline Testing: Functional Movement Assessments to identify potential areas of improvement. Isolated ROM, flexibility, and strength testing. Baseline measurements are important to create true lasting change that can carry over to the field, court, pool, mountain, or studio.

  • Performance Training Sessions: Based on your initial assessment and baseline testing, your provider will create a personalized training program that is generally carried out at 6 and 12 weeks. You will have exercises that cater to movement “faults” identified during your initial assessment, but performance training will occur onsite.

Proactive Wellness Programs:

Our wellness programs take a proactive evidence-based approach to healthcare, focusing on the integration of multiple body systems. By addressing various aspects of physical well-being, such as cardiovascular health, muscular strength/endurance, balance, and mobility, we aim to enhance your overall quality of life. Our programs encompass:

  • Cardiovascular Training: Targeted exercises to improve heart health and endurance.

  • Muscular Strength and Endurance Training: Progressive overload of muscular system to allow growth and hypertrophy.

  • Mobility Training: Passive movements through restricted ranges of motion followed by stability exercises to maintain the newly acquired range.
